Combed Cotton Sewing Thread for Garment Dyeing and Natural Fabrics
Soft, low-hairiness long-staple cotton thread for apparel, quilting, babywear and piece-dyed garments.
Product Overview
Our combed cotton sewing thread uses selected long-staple cotton processed through spinning, plying, singeing, dyeing and finishing. The natural-fiber construction gives a soft hand, low static and compatibility with cotton, linen and other natural fabrics. Unlike thermoplastic synthetic threads, cotton does not melt during normal pressing operations, while its dye affinity supports garment-dye and piece-dye programs when the thread and process are jointly validated. The even, low-hairiness yarn is suited to apparel, babywear, quilting, bedding and decorative sewing where a natural appearance and comfortable seam are important.

FAQ
Why choose cotton instead of polyester thread?
Cotton offers a natural hand, low static and dye affinity for suitable garment-dye programs. Polyester generally provides greater strength and abrasion resistance.
Can it be garment dyed with cotton fabric?
Cotton thread can accept many cotton-dye processes, but the exact dyestuff, pretreatment and shade must be tested on the finished garment before bulk production.
Is this thread suitable for babywear?
The natural hand is well suited to baby and next-to-skin products. Any regulatory or chemical compliance claim must be specified and verified for the actual order.
Does cotton thread melt under ironing heat?
Cotton is not thermoplastic and does not melt like polyester or nylon, although excessive heat can scorch or degrade it.
Is cotton thread as strong as polyester?
Comparable sizes of polyester are normally stronger. Choose cotton where natural appearance, dye response or heat behavior is more important, and validate seam strength.
Can you supply raw white thread?
Yes. Raw or prepared-for-dyeing options can be discussed along with custom dyed shades.
What counts are available?
Count and ply are selected according to fabric, stitch and desired appearance. Send a current thread sample or technical requirement.
Can packaging be customized for retail?
Yes. Spool size, labels, color coding, sets and cartons can be developed for private-label programs.
How do I obtain samples?
Share the intended fabric, process, count, shade and package format so a relevant sample can be arranged.
